Nos presente simples e pasado simples, vc precisa preguntar e negar de modo especial. Não pode trabalhar direito com o verbo, a menos que ese verbo seja auxiliar ( be, have, can, must, etc).
Eu estudo inglês. I study English.
Eu não estudo inglês. I do not study English.
Eu estudo inglês? Do I study English?
Dai é que sai ese do estranho que não se acha na frase afirmativa. Às veces é does. Olhe a regra:

Antes de adicionar s :
Se o verbo acaba em y, troca ela por ies. ele estuda he studies.
Se o verbo acaba ja em s ou sh, adicione uma e antes da outra ese. Ela tem saudades do seu irmao. She misses her brother.
Cuando vc ache isto complicado, pense nas vantagens com respeito da sua propia lingua.
Compare as mudanças que se fazem nas dois linguas com os verbos à partir do infinitivo.

Pasado simples.
Afirmativas
Sujeito verbo no pasado. Se for um verbo regular, o pasado adiciona –ed ( danced ). Se não for, debe achar a forma certa (said)
